Our Ongoing Journey

Our ongoing Journey.

Ecclesiastics 3:1-8
We all go through the different seasons in our lives and those of us who know the Lord use these seasons of change to renew what Father is doing in our lives they refresh, mature, move us, and shift us into better ways of coping with situations, trusting in God, believing the word as true, and leaning on God more for every need we have. In other words, submitting more and accepting that we need Him, and we can depend on Him. These seasons are the circumstances in our lives that God uses to help us understand that when we depend and trust in Him, we will lay stuff down and lean on Him and on His strength to get us through.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I think sometimes we are so familiar with this scripture that we forget just how real this word is and how God can use it in our lives, if we just savour it afresh and let it transform our thinking anew.
Extract from book pages 1-3.

Romans 12: 2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Prove = demonstrate the truth (this is what we are called to do.)

We all have a subconscious mind and have habits that need shifting and changing our mindsets begin with the word of God.

I want you all to take a minute to think over where were you six months ago and what in that time has your life changed for the better and how has your thinking changed because of that experience and was it through the word of God?

Write it down

Testimony re bathroom mirror example of a stuck mind.
Now I would like to add at this point that the mirror was a secular or worldly item, and I am aware of that however God wants me to be in the right place in every area of my life and that includes the furnishings of my home. This is an example of how our minds need to be renewed constantly in the word because quite simply it keeps us fresh and up to date with how He wants us to live and every time I looked at that mirror in my subconscious mind, I was unhappy with how it was on the wall if that was the mirror then how much does my mind need to be renewed in the word.

Now think of something you would like to change and ask yourself why you are not doing anything about it.

Mathew 13:16-17
But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear.

Contact with God enables within us a flow of energy that renews us afresh. When we are in spiritual contact with God through our thoughts divine energy flows and enables us to achieve.

When we are enabled by the power that lives within us, we can move mountains, have constant fresh seasons, constant fresh minds, with the word of God. Further to that we can have constant fresh testimonies which the world needs to see, watch hear and ask what is different about us. They do not want to hear faded testimonies all the time, the world out there is changing constantly, and we should be right in there leading it with the examples of what God is currently doing in our lives.

The Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years because of their unwillingness to move. And sometimes we can get stuck to in the same old same old !!! the book of Exodus is full of what God was doing for them and still they could not move out of their comfort zone.

Are any of us stuck and need to change or should I say want to change?

Isaiah 40:28-31
28: Have you not known? have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29: He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30: Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31: But those who wait on the Lord,
Shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

For each of us do we want to be constantly in tune with what Father is doing and allowing Him to enable us what to do now. Do we want to enjoy our journey and experience in all that He has for us today and realise that we need to be constantly in His word with an open mind to receive and be in constant communication with Him. Will we be willing to change?

However, the biggest area is trust, just to keep trusting Him when He gives us something to keep believing what He is saying and for our eyes to be constantly fixed on where He is leading.

Last week we discussed how we are living in a different Kingdom from the world and I shared about how I now recognised that I also have a different spirit from family and friends who do not know the Lord yet its living in a similar way right across the board just because I am different and accept that I am a child of God that I cannot live or be like the world lives however, I can make a difference by being who I am .

I want to mount up on eagles’ wings.

Malachi 3:6
For I am the Lord, I do not change.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God does not change however we need to keep changing (with His help) to be more and more like Him Amen.
