God-like Faith

God is sovereign and you can’t understand the authority He has given us unless you understand the source.

Genesis 1:1-26
God said and things came to life He spoke!!!!
And it happened.

V26: he said let us make man.
In our likeness
He gave us dominion.
And we were created.
God spoke things into existence.

V27 we were created.

V28 we were blessed and instructed.

Dictionary meaning of Dominion

Dominion = sovereignty = in charge = ruling over others

God delegated dominion of the earth to man.

He gave us free will to choose.

He advises us in Deuteronomy C19:30 to choose life.

He gave us a free will dominion over the earth and His word.

To be done in love its all our choice.

It’s not easy I know to get into a place that you have dominion in but it’s a place of spiritual battle where the only weapon we need to use is to come into agreement with the word of God and speak it out, because the word is what will renew our minds give us revelation and  confidence in who we are and help us change our lives.

Exodus 4:11
So the Lord said to him who has made man’s mouth?

Moses was frightened of what God wanted him to do because he had a stutter and God was letting him know that He would help him.

Philippians 4:13
We can do all things through God who strengthens us

Psalm 115:16

The heaven even the heavens, are the Lords.

But the earth He has given to the children of men

Psalm 138:2

I will worship toward your holy temple and praise your name for your loving kindness and your truth.

For you have magnified your word above all your name

Hebrews 1:1-3

God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets.

Has in these last days spoken to us by His son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person and upholding ALL things by the WORD of His power, and when He had by himself purged our sins sat down at the right hand of God.

1st Samuel 17:45

The David said to the Philistine, “you come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin.

But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled.

This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcases of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all the assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear for the battle is the Lords; and He will give you into our hands.

  • He declared the Lord.
  • He decreed the Lord would give him victory.
  • He decreed he would take the Philistines head off.
  • He decreed he would take his head off and feed the birds and animals with his carcass.
  • He decreed that all Israel would know there was a God.
  • He decreed that he did not need weapons the battle belonged to the Lord.

V48-54

What happened all that he decreed came to pass?

Ask the Lord for understanding.

Psalm 119:34

Give me understanding and I shall keep your law.

Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Faith focuses on the invisible and deals with roots.

Let’s read.

Mark 11:12-14

Now the next day when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing a far off fig tree having leaves, he went to see if perhaps he would find something on it. When He came to it He found nothing but leaves for it was not the season for figs.  in response Jesus said to it let no one eat fruit from you again. And his disciples heard it.

Jesus is teaching here how to rebuke the plant with words.

Read V20-24

Where are the roots? they are cut off?

Then He teaches them about speaking to the mountains

Not to have doubt believe it will happen and believe you receive the answers.

Now let’s look at.

Geneses 12 :2 +17:4
And I will make of you a great nation,

and I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing.

As for me, behold my covenant is with you and you shall be a father to many nations.

Abraham was 76 years old when God first spoke to him about this.

He even gave him the child’s name.

Both Sarah and Abraham laughed

Both their names were changed

Sarah started to doubt.

God had to change their way of thinking.

However when Abraham and Sarah decided to believe God then it came to pass.

Changing the way, we think and understand things is never easy it took Abraham and Sarah time to adjust and after several mistakes and doing things their own way they finally trusted God and what He said came to pass. However, there are always difficulties and challenges on our journey and if we choose the word when these arise and decree and declare them then God will take us through every battle His way when we just trust that He really is fighting our battles.

The key is to keep our eyes on the word off the circumstances and trust God. Amen.
