Trusting in God

Trusting in God

Last week we spoke about who we are in God about how we are righteous, and that we understand what our salvation really is through what Jesus did for each of us.one of the scriptures we used was Math 7:24-27 and how we use and put Gods word into practice. Accept the fact that we will never be perfect this side of heaven recognise who we are in Him and receive what Jesus has done for us. When we do this and challenges come then we are more able to trust God and let Him resolve our issues Amen this enables us to mature and grow in Him.

Luke 13:6-8 (NIV)
Then he told this parable “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7: So, he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, for three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and have not found any. Cut it down! why should it use up the soil? 8: Sir the man replied, leave it alone for one more year, and I will dig round it and fertilise it.

Where are you planted? Maybe God planted you for pain and problems so that he can grow and mature you to produce good fruit. He comes back expecting you to blossom and prosper you where he has planted you.

Let me unpack this a little has he planted you in a difficult family, a difficult church, a difficult workplace, a difficult house situation?

Has your soil cultivated so that it will force you into being fruitful or are you continually having the same problems?

The owner in this parable had been expecting his fig tree to produce some fruit after 3 years!!! He wanted to cut it down because the tree was not producing any fruit.

Have you been caught up in a cycle of going round in circles and not getting anywhere?

This is where I was in 2022 with family, home, and ministry.

Is 2023 your year of breaking out of that cycle and producing much fruit is this going to be your year.

Do not settle in this cycle keep pressing through.

The whole of 22 and right up until the first day of this year 23 I had to keep pressing and it was not easy. I had difficulties within my family, Ministry and Home friendships, and other areas, and I had to keep on pressing and pressing and pressing. Finally, I let go of trying to sort things and let God.

In other words, I got on with what God was asking me to do and left the problems with Him and started thinking Him for the answers.

Jesus put himself between God and the us (the tree) so if you are still having difficulties let go and let God, just keep hanging in there and keep pressing through your breakthrough is coming and I believe we will see a shift in 2023 in many ways.

The biggest shift must be in us we just stand on Gods word and believe trust and hope in Him. And once we pray keep thanking and speaking out the result using His word.

His word is truth and light.

There will be a shift in family’s workplaces, homes and throughout the churches God has been preparing us for what is ahead, and we are planted where we are for a purpose and Father will produce the fruit if we let Him do the pruning Amen.

The owner of the land wanted to dig up the fig tree and give up on it.

v8 the man who was looking after the fig tree asked for another year.

God has not given up on you He Loves you and He wants you Fruitful Amen I believe if you will let go and trust God this is your year.

Jeremiah 29: 11(NIV)
I know the plans I have for you says the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you and plans to give you a hope and a future.

I would like to emphasise on the future God has your future planned put your hand in His and just trust Him. You are His child. He loves you unconditionally and wants the best for you.

Numbers 23:19 (NIV)
God is not a man that he should lie nor a son of man that He should change His Mind.

Does He speak and then not act?

Does He promise and then not fulfil?

We live in a world that wants answers yesterday and our God does not work like the world Amen.

It tells us in Isaiah 55:8+9 (NIV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways Declares the Lord

As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

When we humble ourselves and acknowledge that He and He alone is God then we will wait Listen and learn Amen.

So, don’t Quit depend on God don’t be like the owner of the fig tree and throw the towel in take heart trust God and watch your breakthrough coming through in 2023 Amen.

Develop your confidence through who you are in Him not what the world expects of you just love them where they are and be who you are in Him Amen. Combine the word He has given you with faith and believe for that result. Put the word of God in your mouth and speak it out come into agreement with what he says about you. Do not be like the owner of that fig tree and give up God has not given up on you let 2023 be a year of breakthrough after breakthrough so keep pressing in for the more.

Keep believing keep trusting God, stir your faith up.

Perhaps the soil where God has planted you has been hard and difficult for many years however if you keep pressing on, HE will bring forth the fruit as He grows develops and matures us amen.

We will not accomplish anything by giving up like the owner of the fig tree or by worrying or stressing. Jesus was never in a rush to do anything except in the garden of gethsemane and look how He handled that He said to His Father not my will but yours be done.

Are you willing to humble yourself and let God have his way?

*Incidentally Gethsemane in Hebrew is Gat Shemanim = oil press Gethsemane is a garden in which is a grove of olive trees in which there was an oil press.

Let’s keep our focus on what His word says.

John 15:4-7
Remain in me and I will remain in you.no branch can bear fruit by itself: it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine you are the branches if a man remains in me and I in him he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up thrown into the fire and burned up. If you remain in me and my word remains in, you ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you.

Exodus 33:14
My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
