Are We Tying His Hands?

Lamentations 3 v 21 – 23

This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.  It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning.  Great is thy faithfulness”.

Don’t just settle for knowing God’s blessings.  Remember them every day and watch them come alive in you, speaking them over yourself and situations.

Imagine this scenario: Do we come and pray at His throne room every morning.  Laying every care at His throne, our every need.  Then when we leave and go about our day, do we take them with us?

Say a friend asks you how you are doing – do you say, “I’ve got a massive headache”.  Then go through every pain and all the diagnoses you have been given.  Then you say, “but by faith, God is going to come through for me.”

Healing will manifest when our words get in line with God’s prophecies and promises in the Bible, which ARE for US.  When we see ourselves as He sees us, when our spirit is aligned with His Spirit, then we will see the manifestation of our healing.

It is also the same for any circumstance/situation – family, work, school, college, financial etc.

Have we become complacent in the Word.  Do we believe every diagnosis spoken over us?

Is our faith attached to the wrong confession?  Are we speaking sickness and death over ourselves/situations?  Are we saying my diabetes, my high blood pressure etc?

Do we believe the Doctor’s reports or the word of God which says “by His stripes we are healed”.  Or the bank account when “my God shall supply ALL my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus?”  Why do we believe someone in the world’s opinion over God’s?

Are salt water and fresh water coming out of our mouths?

“For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.”  1 John 5 v 4.

If we haven’t felt like much of a conqueror lately, well are you born of God?  If yes, then this verse is talking about you.  YOU ARE victorious over the world.

The word victorious means:  ‘having conquered in battle or contest, having overcome an enemy or antagonist, conquering; vanquishing as a victorious general and victorious troops.”

This is an accurate description of who we are as believers.  The Lord Jesus Christ completely conquered the devil, the world and the flesh; and when you put your faith in Him you inherit His victory..  Reborn in His image, united with Him, and instantly become a victor.

When we are born physically, we didn’t walk right away.  We had to grow and learn to use this ability we were born with.  Similarly, spiritually we are born an overcomer with God’s victorious nature and dominion on the inside of us.  To operate in that dominion, we must learn some things.  Spend time in the word of God and learn to think like He does.  Otherwise, if we keep talking and acting like the world does, we will keep getting the world’s results.

The world is under the curse, so everything it does results in corruption and destruction.  That’s not what our heavenly Father wants for us.  He redeemed us from the curse so we can walk far above and He has provided us with everything we need to do it.

“Peter 1 says “His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue; whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  (verses 3-4)

We are of God.  Our inner man has been created in His image, in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4v24).  How do we go about letting the man on the inside of us come out?  Romans 12 v 1-2 gives us the answer: “Present your bodies as living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”.

Renewing of the mind is the change that takes place in your soul when you feed on His word.  The soul conforms to whatever information it’s fed – and the information in God’s word is vastly different from the world’s information.  The world says:  “Hey, do your own thing”.  The Word says: Do all to the honour and glory of God”.  Feeding on God’s word renews your mind – and a renewed mind is amazing!

It will reject the lies of the world because it is taught and trained by the Word of God, your renewed mind will cast off worldly ideas, habits and behaviours that have kept you in bondage, and open the door for you to experience true liberty.

Jesus said in John 8 v 31-32: “If ye continue in My word, then ye are My disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.

If you don’t continue in the Word and your mind remains unrenewed, it will continually trip you up.  When the Holy Spirit tries to help you by directing you to do things God’s way, your unrenewed mind  will reject His direction, because it won’t make any sense to your mind.

The will is the part of the soul that turns thinking into action.  It’s the part of you that decides whether you are going to move towards God or away from Him.  You got saved as an act of your will.  You heard the gospel and decided to believe on Jesus and confess him as your Lord and Saviour.  Your will conformed to the will of God is a mighty force!!!  When your mind is faithfully fed and fortified daily with God’s word, it will keep you continually progressing in victory.  It will prevent you from being blown around by every wind of doctrine of the world and enable you to live as the conqueror you were born to be.

So – the decision is yours!
