When we go to the doctors for a check-up, we are making sure our bodies are in good condition. In the spirit realm it’s the same thing we are taking care of our spirits. Amen.
Sometimes we need to readjust some areas in our lives to improve and enable us to be more productive and obtain the desires of our hearts and have the best possible life through our saviour Jesus Amen.
Zechariah 4:6
It’s not by might it’s not by power but by my Holy Spirit.
We have been speaking over the last couple of weeks about being free and when we are resting and working from that place and following what and where the Holy spirit is leading then we are free.
Mathew 15:18
The words you speak come from the heart.
So, let’s have a check-up by asking ourselves to listen to how we are speaking are you positive and expectant in what are you saying?
Are you expecting to get bad test results from a doctor’s app, have a negative experience at work, worry about your finances because of the cost-of-living etc.
Your words are an indicator of your overall spiritual health – they come from your heart as the scripture tells us. So, if your heart is filled with faith then the words you speak will reflect that, however if in doubt and fear and you’re listening to what the world says then your words will reflect this.
If you want to change what is coming out of our mouth, then we need to fill our hearts with the word and what God says. It’s a continual reading of the word every day and listening to teaching tapes or worship songs and diligently filling ourselves up.
Joshua 1:8 says this: This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Most of us must overcome bad habits when we are learning to speak faith so take an honest inventory of yourself even with the help of a good friend and check how you are really speaking.
I was out with some people recently (who do not know the Lord as yet) and one was speaking of how much the cost of food was going up and was remarking that we would not be able to afford much in the days ahead and I listened then quietly remarked that I would always have food on my table and that it depends on how you look at life I also remarked that my cup is always half full not empty (they all know that I am a Christian). There was silence for a couple of minutes then the conversation returned on a more positive note, and I believe that we can influence the atmosphere with what we carry and speak out Amen.
Make a determined effort to speak out in faith love kindness and optimism rather than speak the way the world does.
How are you thinking?
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight O Lord.
A lot goes on every day and our thoughts flow constantly minute by minute. Have you ever stopped and examined what YOU ARE THINKING?
Are your thoughts full of worry, fear, anger. Self-pity, unforgiveness etc because these will all hinder your faith this can be the result of an uncontrolled life and if satan can find his way into your thought life he will so what can we do to improve the health of our thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5 says this: Casting down arguments and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
This means that if our thoughts do not line up with Gods word, they do not belong in your mind, AMEN.
So how do we cast them down? if you are waiting on results re a medical issue and you are beginning to think not getting healed or I’m going to die etc, then just say I am not taking that thought and speak out loud a healing scripture of what God says, or my God says this and say what God says about the situation.
Another way is meditating on God’s word regularly on what is right that’s how we enlarge our capacity for faith meditating on what God says in His word cancels out the wrong thinking, and whenever you can speak it out loud into the atmosphere. This reminds us that as soon as we start speaking out loud our thoughts have to stop and switch over to what we are saying. IT WORKS, AMEN.
How are you responding?
Romans 12:10-13
Be kindly affectionate to on another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patience and tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of saints, given to hospitality.
How is your faith responding?
When we get bad news or challenges arise or people come along that rub you up the wrong way, how are you responding? Is it in anger? or Love? do you have self-control, or do you lose control and give into your emotions?
You can get to that place no matter what is going on around you that you can respond in love. Build up your faith on the inside and developing the fruit of the spirit will help you. this takes time and you may get frustrated when you mess up and we will mess up but do not despair, one day you will realise that something has changed and the thoughts and words you have had are changed and things that bothered you before no longer bother you and you will have a supernatural response. Then it is time to rejoice that you are growing, and this encourages us to keep on moving into the next area AMEN
Do you really believe?
Mark 9:24
I Believe help my unbelief.
We all struggle so Mark says Lord Help my unbelief just cry out to the Lord for the help you need.
No condemnation about where we are in our faith just face where you are and build up and develop with Gods help Amen.
1 John 4:18 says: Perfect love casts out fear.
Are you hopeless and in fear about the future are you afraid for your marriage your children your job your finances? Fear will draw you down and faith will bring you peace.
Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. If you are struggling with certain issues like self-control, anger, start reciting scriptures that will help you and if you know some who is walking in peace in those areas that you struggle in mimic them.
Faith works by love so to grow in faith, study, and practice walking in love.
