Finding God’s Will

Jer. 29:11 (KJ): For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

NIV:“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord “plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future.

Do you know for certain that you are in God’s will for your life – it does not happen by chance.

Do you know why God created you have you found out His plan = your vision with your heart.

God wants you to seek Him and find out what He wants you to do. He has already planned it out.

Proverbs 29:18: Where there is no vision, the people perish.

We need A God given vision.

Sometimes we just need to get the influence of the world out of us.

Psalm 139:14-16: I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made marvellous are thy works and that my soul knows well.

My substance was not hidden from you when I was made in secret and curiously wrought the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance yet being imperfect: and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned when yet there was none of them.

You can’t bring out what God did not put in so do not try and be something you are not He has created you for a purpose.

Jer.1:5: Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you Before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

God knew you and He has ordained you for a purpose it’s our responsibility to find out what our purpose is.

We are designed male/female and God has a plan and purpose for our life. we are placed in a family and in a country of His choosing.

It does not happen by accident we have to seek Gods will and plan for our life and we cannot let circumstances take toll we have to be like the salmon and swim against the current upstream.

How
By preparing the ground by reading the word. When God asks you to do something He has already blessed you to do it when we are doing what He has created us to do we will be in peace and if we are going in a wrong direction then we lose our desire. And we can also have a Holy dissatisfaction.

God also gave us a free will we have to choose.

When we recognise by actively seeking through the word or word and vision what God’s plan is then God will take us through a season of training Just like David/Joseph to prepare us.

God does not force us we have a choice so what are you really called to do joy and peace will come when you are in the right place.

David was not God’s choice to be King it was Saul, and we can read about Saul in 2 Sam c9 when God anointed him then again in 2nd Samuel C 13 when he disobeyed and lost the kingdom that God had given him.

We can also read in 2 Sam 15 when David was chosen.

Its steps and stages sometimes you will feel as if you are walking in mud think about David and Joseph how they must have felt in caves and in prisons. Saul could not handle it because of his jealousy so he lost out.

Paul was separated for the Gospel, and he was a pharisee and he was steeped in Jewish religion.

Look at Peter he could not open his mouth without saying the wrong thing and he had an attitude problem.

God’s will, is beyond you, find out where God wants you to go and then pursue it.

2Tim 1:12 (NIV)

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me faithful, appointing me to His service.

Have you got a commitment to Him have you got an assurance of His will?

No commitment no keeping.

Perhaps you are right where God wants you to be, but you have got to know it your peace is your antenna.

Esther 4:14

For if you remain completely silent at this time relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your fathers house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come into the kingdom for such a time as this.

Points

  • Are you in the right place?
  • Are you silent when Holy Spirit prompts you to speak?
  • Do you want to just do your own thing and perish?
  • What are you called into the kingdom for?
